Grade 5 - £30,046 - £35,844 per annum (pro rata for part-time role)

1 FTE Full time – Paisley and Ayr Campus (35 hours per week)

0.8 FTE Part Time – Lanarkshire and Paisley Campus (28 hours per week

Through external funding and to ensure that the Counselling Service is able to meet the needs of its service users, we are seeking to increase our provision of student counsellors and wellbeing advisers on a fixed term basis.

Therefore, applicants are sought from qualified counsellors to work full time (1 post) across our Paisley and Ayr campuses and qualified counsellors to work part time (1 posts, 28 hours per week) across our Lanarkshire and Paisley campuses, with occasional trips to our Dumfries campus 

Working as a member of the University’s Counselling team you will provide a professional counselling service to students.  You will also contribute to the work of the Counselling team in the wider university to promote the mental wellbeing of the whole student population.

Educated to degree level, you will have a post graduate diploma, or equivalent, in Counselling / CBT (or similar) and have significant experience working in a counselling, caring, educational or similar capacity.  Experience of working in Higher Education is desirable.

For the part time post, the working pattern can be negotiable.
