An outstanding opportunity exists for an exceptional and inspirational leader to take up the role of Executive Director, Research Services at Macquarie University.

Macquarie is now seeking to appoint a new Executive Director to lead Research Services through its exciting next stage of evolution. As Executive Director, you will provide leadership to, and management of, the University’s Research Services office which will be responsible for the development and support of research at every stage across the University.

The new Executive Director will be postgraduate qualified and have leadership experience in a higher education research office or other research related organisation. You will have knowledge of research governance, funding frameworks, grant applications and contracts as they relate to research. You will have a deep understanding of academic research and knowledge of the Australian Higher Education sector and the role of research services within the sector.

You will lead a highly experienced team of professionals who support researchers from the point of inception of a new idea to submitting the final report to a funding agency. Leadership for teams that manage research ethics, research integrity, research contracts, research reporting and research partnership development will form your remit. You will build trusted and effective relationships with the Faculty Research Offices and you will work closely and collaboratively alongside the four Pro Vice-Chancellors (Research) as part of the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Research) Executive Team.
