We are looking for a Research Assistant Producer to join the StoryFuture’s team based at Royal Holloway University of London’s Egam campus. The role is specifically attached to the StoryFutures China project, designed to develop new immersive experiences through R&D that can enable economic and cultural exchange with partners in Shanghai.

The post holder will integrate the work of StoryFutures China with the wider StoryFutures and Centre for Digital Creativity projects, taking specific responsibility for key organisation and research tasks related to the production, dissemination and analysis of new immersive experiences created by the project. The Research AP will be expected to work with our StoryFuture’s Producer to provide assistance and support in organizing research on relevant immersive productions in the UK and China, to provide assistance and support in preparing relevant meetings, workshops, stakeholder, testing and dissemination events and activities and to work with industry stakeholders to undertake short research tasks, including interviews and desk-based research, to inform the project management team’s production decisions.

Further duties will include supporting research organizations in immersive production outputs, including file formatting, workflow management, proof reading copy and relevant clearance work to ensure final immersive productions are ready for publication as a part of the project.

The successful candidate wil be expected to document and code contemporary practices in Immersive Production culture, including creating organograms of roles and responsibilities and workflows and be sufficiently mature to manage commercially and ethically sensitive data in line with University protocols and policies

This is a part time role (FTE 0.50) on a 24 month fixed term contract from 01 July 2020 or as soon as possible thereafter.
