Description

The University of Chicago's Department of Surgery, Section of Cardiac Surgery, seeks a Clinical Associate at 100% effort for a renewable two-year term.  The successful applicant will be a critical member of the cardiac surgical team, assisting in heart transplants, acute and emergent cases, and performing independent minor procedures.  This position supports the work of the primary surgeons, provides floor coverage, procurement coverage, and off site support when needed.   The position does not require teaching or scholarly activity. Compensation (including a generous package of fringe benefits) is dependent on qualifications.

Prior to the start of employment, qualified applicants must 1) have a medical doctorate or equivalent, 2) hold or be eligible for medical licensure in the State of Illinois, 3) be Board certified or eligible by the American Board of Thoracic Surgery, and 4) have completed an accredited fellowship or equivalent training in CT Surgery.
