Laboratory Assistant, to join a biochemistry lab of approximately eighteen students and postdocs who are conducting research on protein engineering, optogenetics, directed evolution, chemical biology, neuroscience, genome editing, and microscopy (http://www.tinglab.org). Located in Stanford’s Clark Center. Laboratory Assistant will handle laboratory management/organization, purchasing, reagent preparation, and equipment maintenance. Responsibilities will also include streamlining laboratory efficiency and developing cost-saving measures. 25% of time will be dedicated to original experimentation in collaboration with senior lab members, which may involve cloning, mammalian cell culture, microscopy, protein biochemistry, enzyme assays, and CRISPR
One year of related experience. Seeking a highly motivated and independent individual who demonstrates strong initiative, organizational skills, accuracy, attention to detail, and resourcefulness. Biochemical experience is highly preferred. Must be able to thrive in a team-oriented environment and display leadership skills.
