Applications are invited for appointment as Lecturer in the School of Public Health (Ref.: 500179), to commence as soon as possible on a two-year fixed-term basis, with the possibility of renewal.

Applicants should possess a medical qualification registrable with the Medical Council of Hong Kong, and a keen interest in pursuing an academic career in public health medicine.  They should demonstrate a strong commitment to teaching and curriculum development, preferably with specialized knowledge in preventive medicine/public health and work experience in the setting of a public health agency which can help reinforce and advance the School’s educational efforts.  The appointee will assume basic and applied clinical teaching duties, coordinate undergraduate and postgraduate courses, undertake clinical supervision, and organize projects related to patient care and health research in epidemiology and biostatistics.  In addition, the appointee is expected to contribute to research programmes in population health, as well as administration at the School.

A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, in addition to annual leave and medical benefits.  At current rates, salaries tax does not exceed 15% of gross income.  The appointment will attract a contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 15% of basic salary.
