The Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology invites applications for a tenure-track position at the assistant professor level, although outstanding candidates at a higher rank will be considered. We seek scientists studying macromolecular dynamics and structure, mechanisms of molecular function and related frontier areas. Appropriate topics include proteins, nucleic acids and their assemblies; membrane proteins; cellular processes in prokaryotes and eukaryotes (for example, proteostasis, condensates and immunology); biomolecular design; chemical biology, and computational analysis. Our resources include cryoEM capability (Krios with tomography) and affiliations with Argonne National Laboratory and the Marine Biological Laboratory.
Applicants must have a doctoral degree or equivalent.
