ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT 2Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence Laboratory (CSAIL), to provide comprehensive administrative support and perform complex and diverse duties in support of The Infrastructure Group (TIG). Will be responsible for a variety of activities including monitoring budgets, managing assistant directors’ email and schedules, coordinating events, preparing documents, purchasing supplies, coordinating travel, and developing and maintaining web pages.

Job Requirements

REQUIRED: a high school diploma or its equivalent; at least three years of secretarial, office, or related experience; ability to recognize the needs of the research group and how it impacts other areas at MIT and to understand your own role relative to all areas; initiative and self-motivation; ability to anticipate consequences of actions, potential problems, or opportunities for change; ability to work independently, prioritize multiple projects and competing demands, deliver high quality results, and meet deadlines; strong communication, writing, interpersonal, customer service, presentation, analytical, problem-solving, time-management, decision-making, and organizational skills; meticulous attention to detail; flexibility; willingness to learn; ability to work effectively with people at all levels, including faculty, staff, students, the larger MIT community, and those external to MIT; proficiency with Microsoft Office (including Word, Excel and PowerPoint) and ability to learn new programs/software as necessary; discretion and good judgment with confidential information; and ability to work effectively in a team-based environment. Bachelor's degree preferred. Working knowledge of LaTeX, HTML, Drupal, Concur, Google Docs, and other web software tools desired. MIT experience a plus. Job #17822-5
