Zeppelin University invites applications for the position of a
Chair of Finance
within the Department of Business and Economics. The position is to be filled at the earliest possible opportunity.
We are seeking to appoint a scholar that represents the field of finance in research and teaching in its entire scope.
The successful candidate will have an excellent track record of research documented in international peer-reviewed journals. He or she has a strong research agenda in the area of finance and exhibits an interest in interdisciplinary research and teaching. Moreover, the appointee should be engaged in establishing an international network as well as acquiring research grants.
Zeppelin University is striving for internationally visible and sustainable research and has established research clusters in explaining decision-making, governance of global cooperation networks, computational social science and Arts Production and Cultural Policy in Transformation. A contribution to one of these clusters is appreciated.
We expect profound didactical competencies and an outstanding commitment to teaching; this comprises the disposition to teach project-based formats in small group contexts. Finally, the ability and willingness to teach classes in English as well as a contribution to university self-government are expected.
As per Article 47 Landeshochschulgesetz (state higher education act) eligible candidates shall have a relevant Master (or equivalent), a PhD and a distinguished record of post-doctoral research and teaching, demonstrated by a successfully completed habilitation, a Junior-Professorship or equivalent research and teaching achievements.
