BENEFITS AND DATA REPRESENTATIVEHuman Resources-Benefits, to provide exceptional customer service and support to MIT faculty/staff/retirees/beneficiaries/vested terminated employees.  Will answer participant inquiries and handle plan enrollment counseling, transaction processing, problem solving and advocacy; stay current on relevant HR and benefit industry trends, topics, and compliance regulations; research and resolve problems in a proactive and timely manner; and analyze requests for information against relevant benefit plan provisions and enter complex benefit transactions into vendor and MIT systems/databases.  Will also create and analyze quarterly metrics reports related to client services activity levels, responsiveness, client satisfaction, and trends; create process documentation and workflow charts; work with HR technology team to resolve complex issues on file feeds and on SAP reporting analysis; assist with conducting annual audits; support future projects; and reconcile error data reports from vendors.

Job Requirements

REQUIRED:  high school diploma or its equivalent; at least five years’ HR benefits or HR data reporting/analytics and customer service experience; excellent problem-solving, organizational, interpersonal, communication, and customer interfacing skills; attention to detail; experience analyzing HR data and reporting metrics; full working knowledge of professional office practices/procedures; proficiency with Microsoft Office and web applications and ability to learn HR information systems; initiative; flexibility; and discretion and good judgment with confidential information.  Must be able to prioritize competing demands and follow through on tasks despite constant interruptions; consult with customers and stakeholders and probe customer inquiries to find resolutions; and work within a team-oriented environment, recognizing needs of unit and own responsibility.  

PREFERRED bachelor’s degree and knowledge of SAP. Job #18633-6
