Position Summary:

The Medical Research Future Fund (MRFF) is a long-term Australian Government investment in health and medical research and innovation aimed at improving health, building the economy and health system sustainability. The MRFF is a significant opportunity for Flinders University researchers to secure funding for programs of research that align with MRFF goals.

Under broad direction the Research Support Lead (MRFF) will work with University researchers to identify opportunities for MRFF funding, engage with external stakeholders and support the development of competitive funding applications that increase the University’s performance in obtaining MRFF funding. The Research Support Lead (MRFF) will work collaboratively with relevant College and Institute Executives and researchers, the Health Partnerships Director and other members of the Research Development and Support team to provide leadership and operational assistance in obtaining MRFF support for strategic research priorities of Flinders University. This includes contributing to the development of a pipeline of major initiatives aligned to MRFF funding opportunities and facilitating overall growth in MRFF revenue. The Research Support Lead (MRFF) will be based in the Flinders Institute for Health and Medical Research (FHMRI), but as a member of the University’s strategic partnerships team, will support MRFF opportunities across the University.

valid National Police Certificate which is satisfactory to the University will be required before the successful applicant can commence in this position.
