We are seeking to recruit an education researcher to join the final year of an EU-funded project examining youth engagement in out-of-school coding, making and gaming activities. The researcher will work with Dr Heather King to analyse collected data, oversee project administration and communication with project partners, and engage in impact work and the dissemination of findings. Experience of youth engagement in science activities involving coding, making or gaming, in either the formal or the informal sector, is desirable. The successful candidate will be expected to contribute to high quality academic and non-academic publications and presentations. They will also contribute to research meetings, and potentially some teaching for the Centre for Research in Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths. The ideal candidate is likely to be an early career researcher seeking to further develop their experience of project management and of overseeing impact and dissemination activities. We are keen to encourage applicants from a diverse range of backgrounds.
This post will be offered on a fixed-term contract until 31.05.2021. This is a full-time post.
We will shortlist from written applications, based on the criteria listed in the person specification (see job pack). Please ensure you meet all the essential criteria as a minimum, as candidates not meeting these essential criteria will not be short-listed. Short-listed candidates will be invited to a panel interview.
