Applications are invited for appointment as Post-doctoral Fellow in the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering (Ref.: 500255), to commence as soon as possible for one year, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance.
Applicants must possess a Ph.D. degree with a background in Physics/Applied Physics/Engineering/Optical Engineering/Biomedical Engineering, and have demonstrated knowledge and experience in optical microscopy, lasers, optics and related areas. Technical experience in optically detected magnetic resonance technique, scanning near-field optical microscopy, atomic force microscopy, and nanophotonics will be highly desirable. Applicants should be highly self-motivated and have excellent communication skills in written and spoken English as well as the ability to work independently. The appointee will work under the supervision of Dr. Zhiqin Chu and will be involved in multidisciplinary research projects that mainly involves developing next-generation precision sensing and imaging platforms. A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, in addition to annual leave and medical benefits. At current rates, salaries tax does not exceed 15% of gross income.
