Applications are invited for a Research Fellow in Construction Informatics to contribute to a collaborative H2020 funded project involving 17 leading research and industry partners from across the EC. The project will develop and test an augmented intelligence framework and technologies for deep energy renovation in residential buildings. This involves the development, integration and deployment of latest innovations across building systems, production technologies, financing and business models, and simulation and software systems (Augmented Reality, Digital Twin, Smart Connected Buildings, Collaboration Platforms, and Data Dashboarding). The objective is to move closer towards cognitive buildings, enable occupants to understand building operation, and induce a shift in their behaviour towards energy use.

As a successful candidate, you will take principal responsibility for the development of BIM-based software system and a dashboard for monitoring building operation with data coming from IoT devices and other systems. You will also take responsibility for the development of a collaboration platform for the integration of actors and workflows in building deep renovation projects, and the implementation of the necessary computational and analytical processes to enable both control of building operation, and simulation and selection of optimal renovation scenarios.

The ideal candidate will have experience in performing similar research and development activities on nationally or EU funded projects. They will have experience in full stack development involving building information modelling and management, preferably using open data format such as IFC, and Web-based collaboration platforms.
