Job Details
One Research Fellow position is currently available in the School of Physical & Mathematical Sciences, NTU. He/She is needed to conduct theoretical research into the effects of quantum geometry and topology in quantum materials.
Job Responsibilities
- Theoretical research in quantum materials specifically in quantum geometry and topology using both analytical and numerical tools
- Quantum transport and optical effects in geometrical quantum materials
- Clear written and oral communication of research results
- Participating in collaborations with other theoretical and experimental groups as needed
Job Requirements
- PhD in theoretical condensed matter physics or closely related field
- Ample facility and experience with the theoretical techniques of solid state physics (both analytical and numerical), mathematical techniques dealing with quantum geometry and topology in quantum materials
- Familiar with the range of novel electronic phenomena in quantum materials and topological phases

The prestigious Lee Kuan Yew Postdoctoral Fellowship (LKY PDF) was established in 1991 under the Lee Kuan Yew Endowment Fund. The Fellowship supports and promotes young and outstanding researchers to realise their full potential in the areas of Engineering, Science, Humanities, and Medicine.
The Fellowship will be awarded concurrently with the candidate's appointment as a research staff in NTU.

Eligibility:
• Excellent academic records and research potential.
• Recent PhD graduates, or with at most 1 postdoctoral training from a reputable university.
Terms and Conditions:
• The Fellowship will be tenable for a period of 3 years.
• In addition to an attractive remuneration, the successful candidate will be awarded a research grant of S$180,000 for research consumables and research related expenditure.
