Job Summary

This project aims to understand drivers of diurnal variability in total column CO2 concentrations and develop methods to identify which drivers dominate at a particular location. A secondary goal of this project is to consider how to apply this analysis to upcoming Orbiting Carbon Observatory 3 data, in which diurnal and seasonal variability will be intertwined.

Job Duties

  • Analyze column CO2 data from the Total Carbon Column Observing Network.
  • Communicate results via poster, presentation, or written paper, as appropriate
  • Other duties, as assigned

Basic Qualifications

  • Familiarity with atmospheric science and the carbon cycle
  • Basic experience with at least one analytical programming language (Python, Matlab, R, IDL, etc.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Basic experience with Unix command line interface
