Job Details
A Project Officer position is currently available in the School of Physical & Mathematical Sciences. The candidate will work on polymer chemistry with focus on the following research themes.
Job Responsibilities
- Synthesis of structurally controlled polymers via organocatalyzed living radical polymerization
- Creation of specialty polymers for lubricant additives and oilfield chemicals using structurally controlled polymers
Job Requirements
- BSc in the field of chemistry
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team with strong initiatives
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Synthetic experimental skills for organocatalyzed living radical polymerizations
- Synthetic experimental skills and knowledge for synthesis of specialty polymers for lubricant additives and oilfield chemicals
- Knowledge of synthetic polymer chemistry
- Good writing skills for research report

The prestigious Lee Kuan Yew Postdoctoral Fellowship (LKY PDF) was established in 1991 under the Lee Kuan Yew Endowment Fund. The Fellowship supports and promotes young and outstanding researchers to realise their full potential in the areas of Engineering, Science, Humanities, and Medicine.
The Fellowship will be awarded concurrently with the candidate's appointment as a research staff in NTU.

Eligibility:
• Excellent academic records and research potential.
• Recent PhD graduates, or with at most 1 postdoctoral training from a reputable university.
Terms and Conditions:
• The Fellowship will be tenable for a period of 3 years.
• In addition to an attractive remuneration, the successful candidate will be awarded a research grant of S$180,000 for research consumables and research related expenditure.
