Job Details

A Project Officer position is currently available in the English Department, School of Humanities (SoH).

Job Responsibilities

  • Sourcing of appropriate research materials
  • Develop a sequence of critical summaries of various primary texts
  • Construction of a comprehensive bibliography of relevant aesthetics materials and contemporary fiction criticism
  • Sourcing of visual materials in galleries and museums which will feature in the book, and overseeing the administration of seeking copyright etc

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor degree in English or relevant subject area with good honours
  • High level language skills
  • Familiar with the discipline of English literature and background in the visual arts
  • Experience in working on contemporary fiction, narrative and aesthetics
  • Administratively sound, organized, familiarity with Microsoft, and the ability to liaise with external organizations (libraries, museums, art galleries, publishers)

About Lee Kuan Yew Postdoctoral Fellowship (LKY PDF)

The prestigious Lee Kuan Yew Postdoctoral Fellowship (LKY PDF) was established in 1991 under the Lee Kuan Yew Endowment Fund. The Fellowship supports and promotes young and outstanding researchers to realise their full potential in the areas of Engineering, Science, Humanities, and Medicine.

The Fellowship will be awarded concurrently with the candidate's appointment as a research staff in NTU.

Eligibility: 

• Excellent academic records and research potential.
• Recent PhD graduates, or with at most 1 postdoctoral training from a reputable university. 

Terms and Conditions: 
• The Fellowship will be tenable for a period of 3 years.  
• In addition to an attractive remuneration, the successful candidate will be awarded a research grant of S$180,000 for research consumables and research related expenditure.
