About the opportunity

As the Operations Manager you will provide expert administrative and operational advice to the development of operations, management, policy and planning for the Lambert Initiative for Cannabinoid Therapeutics and its leadership team. You will support the establishment of business operations, governance structures, financial management processes, infrastructure and frameworks to ensure the Initiative's leadershipare able to operate effectively and meet internal and external obligations throughout the School, Faculty and University,

You will support the coordination and integration of diverse groups and operational resources from across the University to ensure effective collaboration and synergy is achieved. You will also support the establishment and coordination of governance and control frameworks and processes across the Lambert Initiative to ensure compliance with the Lambert Initiative Deed of Gift.

This role allows you to engage with external parties that regularly interface with the Lambert Initiative, including the medicinal cannabis industry, consumers and patients, advocacy organisations and in consultation with the University’s Government Relations team, State and Federal government departments as required.

  • extensive relevant experience and/or qualifications in management, business administration or similar disciplines
  • demonstrable experience in navigating complex regulations coupled with extensive experience in complex project management and business administration
  • effective leadership and people management skills
  • demonstrable experience working with social, digital, print and news media
  • a passion for and commitment towards medicinal cannabis research and policy
  • experience and/or interest in the conduct of clinical trials involving novel investigational products.

The Faculty of Science is one of six faculties operating within the University and includes the Schools of Chemistry, Geosciences, Life and Environmental Sciences, Mathematics & Statistics, Physics, Psychology, the Sydney School of Veterinary Science and the Unit for History and Philosophy of Science.
