Assistant Lecturer in the Centre for Civil Society and Governance (Ref. 500248) (to commence as soon as possible, on a two-year fixed-term basis with contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 10% of basic salary, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance and funding availability)

Applicants should possess a Ph.D. degree preferably in a Social Sciences or a related discipline with at least 2 years’ relevant teaching experience in sustainable development, environmental governance and policy and corporate sustainability in the tertiary education sector. They should have an excellent command of written and spoken English and Chinese, and advanced knowledge of quantitative and qualitative research methods. Some experience in project management in related fields would be an advantage.

The appointee will be responsible for teaching at both undergraduate and/or postgraduate levels as well as curriculum development and administration. He/She will also contribute to the dissemination of the Centre’s knowledge to the wider society and support the work of the Academy for Sustainable Communities established under the Centre; and perform other teaching and research-related duties as assigned by the Director.
