The Governing Body of Murray Edwards College invites applications from outstanding candidates to take up the role of President from September 2021.

Murray Edwards College was founded in 1954 (then named New Hall) as a college for women students at the University of Cambridge. The College is a welcoming and diverse community comprising 63 Fellows (women and men), a student body of around 350 undergraduates and 200 postgraduates, and a dedicated team of 120 professional staff, all committed to furthering academic excellence and gender equality.

The College is a modern, open and innovative environment in which women are championed throughout their academic studies and beyond. The pursuit of intellectual excellence is coupled with a broad range of activities that develop the whole individual.

Candidates should possess a distinguished record of achievement and leadership in their chosen field. Candidates should have the ability to lead with vision and ambition and the operational skills to oversee the running of the College.
