An exciting new opportunity has arisen to join the Student and Academic Support team in the role of SAS Lead, based within the School of Defence and Security. The successful applicant will be primarily responsible for supporting courses belonging to the Cranfield Forensic Institute relocating from the Shrivenham site to the Cranfield campus in October 2020. As such, you will be required to spend two weeks at the Shrivenham site once the site reopens following Government guidance regarding lockdown measures.
You will be joining a friendly and supportive team and be the key point of contact for students and staff for advice, guidance and support. Responsibilities include the delivery of academic administration, student support and ensuring high levels of customer service and student satisfaction.
You will be an experienced, self-motivated Higher Education Administrator, with working knowledge of University Regulations, and significant experience of working in partnership with students, Professional Service Unit colleagues and academics. You will have excellent verbal and written communication skills, be able to prioritise and manage a high volume of work, working quickly and accurately to meet tight deadlines. Proven analytical, problem solving and decision-making skills are a must.
At Cranfield we value Diversity and Inclusion, and aim to create and maintain a culture in which everyone can work and study together harmoniously with dignity and respect and realise their full potential.
Our equal opportunities and diversity monitoring has shown that women and minority ethnic groups are currently underrepresented within the university and so we actively encourage applications from eligible candidates from these groups.
We actively consider flexible working options such as part-time, compressed or flexible hours and/or an element of homeworking, and commit to exploring the possibilities for each role. Find out more here.
