Job Description Summary

Job Description
In collaboration with the Principal Investigator, the Research Project Manager will take leadership role in drafting government-, foundation-, and industry-sponsored study protocols for the Institutional Review Board (IRB), drafting informed consent forms associated with these protocols, updating IRB protocols, and cultivating close relationships with collaborating departments and centers at Penn and with community partner organizations. Will help coordinate complex projects conducted with collaborators both internal and external to Penn. Will help develop the team's social media strategy and will organize and lead community presentations such as caregiver conferences. Will help ensure that studies/research are conducted safely and according to protocol, provide input to the team conducting study/interventions and collaborate with peers from other Universities and funding agencies. Will help coordinate grant applications and interact with funding administrators and the University and Department Business Offices. Will play a primary role in introducing and orienting new staff to the Center.
The successful candidate will be responsible for regulatory activities in an active translational research center with NIH, foundation, and clinical trial support to study patients with early-onset neurodegenerative disease. The successful candidate will lead management of social media, Center website, introduce and orient new staff to the Center, and coordinate semi-annual events for patient caregivers
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree with 3-5 years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience is required
