This position in support of experiments utilizing large animals. The main responsibilities are to facilitate the experiments run by the PI and the other laboratory members and to maintain the lab. The specialist will help performing the experiment by prepping the animals for experiments, assisting with the experimental procedures and the recovery. In addition to the duties directly related to experiments, the specialist will maintain the laboratory equipment and supplies. The specialist will also compile and manage storage of the acquired data and will monitor and record the condition of the survived animals. The specialist will maintain the proper documentation that is required to comply with IACUC and other applicable regulations. The specialist will guide and train lab personnel in techniques and procedures as necessary.
HS/GED and 5 years relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
