Lecturer/Assistant Professor in Modern Irish Architecture,
Applications are invited for a permanent Lecturer/Assistant Professor in Modern Irish Architecture within the UCD School of Architecture, Planning and Environmental Policy.
This is a permanent, full-time position, at the level of College Lecturer, based at Richview, on the Belfield Campus. The post will build on the School's existing strength in architectural and landscape history while also connecting to larger inter-disciplinary themes within the university and more broadly, and to current architectural design and practice. The significant enhancement of the School's public engagement, building on existing activities, is also a key aspect of the post. This in turn should contribute to the increased activity across disciplines in UCD the area of 'public history'. The focus on Irish architecture in the modern area should also bring an added dimension to Irish Studies in UCD.
The successful candidate will demonstrate expertise in the area of architectural history, specifically in relation to twentieth-century Ireland. The successful candidate will also demonstrate: a high-quality research track record including significant publications, an ability to attract the external funding necessary to support an active research programme, and a demonstrated ability to work across disciplines and with external partners.
95 Lecturer/Asst Professor Above the Bar Salary Scale: €53,773 - €84,544 per annum
Appointment will be made on scale and in accordance with the Department of Finance guidelines
