Applications are invited for a Research Assistant in Quantum, Atomic and Optical Physics, with an emphasis on the experimental study of ultracold molecules formed by associating ultracold atoms. The project is supported by an EPSRC Programme Grant on "Quantum Science with Ultracold Molecules" lead by Prof. Simon Cornish.
The successful applicant will be expected to have a broad range of knowledge and skills appropriate to the project goals, specifically including some of the following: experience of research using the techniques of magnetoassociation and STIRAP, practical knowledge of microwave control techniques, experience of data acquisition and analysis. The successful applicant will be expected to work effectively both independently and as part of a research team. It is expected that they will also enhance the international contacts of the group through the presentation of work at international conferences and aid in the supervision of graduate students within the group.
