Wenzhou-Kean University (WKU), located in Wenzhou, China, one of three Sino-American universities along with NYU Shanghai and Duke Kunshan University, is approved by the Ministry of Education of China. Launched in 2012, WKU offers a unique model of higher education in partnership with Kean University, a comprehensive, public university in the state of New Jersey that is accredited by the Middle States Commission on Higher Education. Wenzhou-Kean University sits on approximately 500 beautiful acres, currently enrolls 2,500 undergraduate students and is now in the midst of a growth phase that will bring enrollment to more than 5,000 students within the next six years. All instruction is in English and all curriculum is provided by Kean University. In addition to its current 17 undergraduate programs, WKU has been approved to offer 8 Master’s and 3 Doctorate programs. Wenzhou is one of the most vibrant and economically advanced cities on China's East Coast, located one hour by plane and just over three hours by high-speed train from Shanghai.

The Executive Director is the academic and administrative leader of the School of Computer Science responsible for managing all school activities, including daily operations for the major, its programs and future Master’s program(s) at WKU. The Executive Director works under the direction of the Dean of the College of Science, Mathematics and Technology at the Union, New Jersey campus, and the Associate Dean of the College of Science and Technology and Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs at Wenzhou-Kean University; works in collaboration with the Executive Director of the same program at Kean’s USA campus; develops and implements school policies and procedures; manages the evaluation process for school faculty; recommends the appointment of coordinators to the Associate Dean and Dean; and does related work as required. The Executive Director will lead the University’s Accreditation Board for Engineering & Technology (ABET) accreditation initiative, ensuring ABET standards of programs and faculty are met and maintained. The Executive Director may be required to teach two in-load courses each semester (spring and fall) in addition to assigned managerial duties and responsibilities. This position is located at the Wenzhou-Kean University campus in Wenzhou, China but travel is required to the Kean USA campus on an as needed basis.

Qualifications: Ph.D. in Computer Science or a related field and a minimum of three years of progressive experience in higher education or a related environment combining academic instruction, scholarly attainment and administration or the equivalent as determined by the university. Six years of experience is preferred. Experience in related management fields, research organizations or not-for-profit entities is also acceptable. Records of excellence in teaching and research in Computer Science are desirable.
