Research Fellow, Biostatistician/Health Service Researcher
- Negotiable Time fraction – Part-time/Full-time fixed term position until 31 Dec 2020
- $95,432 - $112,697 pro rata, p.a plus up to 17% superannuation

About the role
This position requires an enthusiastic self- driven researcher, with experience and expertise in statistical advice, data analysis and write-up to lead secondary analyses of data from EMPOWER, an international research project on the integration of digital resources into mental healthcare delivery for people who are living with a psychotic disorder and at risk of relapse. The EMPOWER research program has completed a clinical intervention trial that includes daily Ecological Momentary Assessment data collection via Smartphone questionnaire. Your key responsibilities in this newly created position will be to prepare and analyse longitudinal multilevel data along with drafting academic papers for peer-reviewed journals and associated duties. This will be predominantly an off campus role with research team connection via teleconferencing.
Skills & Experience
To be considered for this position, you will have completed a PhD or possess an equivalent qualification/research experience and demonstrate a record of publications, conference papers and/or reports, or professional or technical contributions which provide evidence of strong research potential.
Significant expertise and experience in leading statistical analysis of multilevel and complex datasets including expertise with the R software is essential.
Experience in analysis of health-related EMA datasets, clinical trial data modelling and a publication track record in leading statistical analyses is highly advantageous.
