The University of Chicago's Department of Pediatrics, Section of Developmental & Behavioral Pediatrics, seeks a Clinical Associate at 100% effort.  Direct patient care responsibilities include the provision of trauma-focused, evidence-informed assessment and psychotherapy to children, youth, young adults, and families. Services may be provided in various locations affiliated with the Block Hassenfeld Casdin (BHC) Collaborative for Family Resilience and may include individual, family, and group intervention.

In addition to teaching medical students, residents and fellows, our faculty conducts cutting-edge translational and clinical research.

Prior to the start of employment, qualified applicants must 1) have a PhD in psychology or equivalent 2) hold or be eligible for licensure in the State of Illinois and 3) licensed in clinical psychology.   Review of applications will consider skills in trauma-focused psychological assessment and psychotherapy, experience caring for children and families affected by violence and other trauma, and interest in health justice and serving urban individuals, families and communities affected by structural violence.
