We are seeking to make a strategic appointment for a future research leader and new Professor of Psychiatry. You will develop a programme of research to identify novel treatments for depression and schizophrenia and in particular that develops experimental medicine studies based on link between inflammation and mental health disorders. You will develop a new research programme in collaboration with staff of the MRC Integrative Epidemiology Unit, (MRC IEU) the NIHR Bristol Biomedical Research Centre, and Centre for Academic Mental Health within Population Health Sciences. The post will be in Population Health Sciences and Bristol Medical School with clinical sessions at Avon and Wiltshire Mental Health Trust (AWP).
