PPPL’s Engineering Apprenticeship Program provides you with 8,000 hours on-the-job learning and certification through a partner education institution. To achieve your certification of completion of apprenticeship you will also have to complete 4 years of related technical instruction, each consisting of least of 144 hours. As a Princeton University regular employee you will receive benefits including medical and dental plans, child/elderly dependent care grants including backup care, tuition reimbursement, contributions to a retirement plan at 9.3% of salary with no matching requirement.
We are looking for a team player with excellent communication, problem solving, practical and analytical skills, with a strong work ethic. You must apply for a pre-apprenticeship, work with us through the summer and apply to an internal posting for the apprenticeship program in the summer. Please answer all the questions in the on-line application for the pre-apprenticeship and be available for an on-site interview in the second week of June.
May 11 – application for pre-apprenticeship closes (midnight)
June 12 – selection and hiring process is complete
June 29 – pre-apprenticeship starts
July 22 – internal post for apprentices is published
August 5 – application for apprenticeship closes (midnight)
August 14 – pre-apprenticeship ends and apprentice selection is complete
August 26 – apprentice registration and enrolment is complete
Education and Experience:
- You must have received a High School diploma or equivalent.
- You must be at least 18 years old by June 29th, 2020.
- You must be eligible for work in the United States.
