EXECUTIVE VICE PRESIDENT AND TREASUREROffice of the President, to lead all of MIT’s administrative and financial functions, collaborating with the president, MIT Corporation, and members of senior leadership to ensure that MIT’s financial, capital, and operational resources are optimally deployed in support of its academic mission. Will be responsible for financial strategy development, operations and capital budget planning, debt issuance, and the integrity of financial information; serve as the chief steward of MIT's financial assets and operating revenues and administer its capital plan; act as an ex-officio member of the MIT Corporation, Corporation Development Committee, and the MIT Investment Management Company board; and provide forward-thinking operational direction, steward administrative resources, and lead the senior administrative team in conducting internal operations.

Job Requirements

REQUIREDbachelor’s degree (advanced degree preferred); fifteen years’ related experience; experience successfully leading and directing operations in a higher education institution or other organization of similar complexity; experience directing or partnering with the heads of key administrative and operational departments; strong understanding of the interrelationships of administrative functions and their impact on overall Institute performance and success; experience working with board members on complex, high-level topics/issues; understanding of the current economic challenges facing higher education; and extensive knowledge of applicable local, state, and federal laws/codes/ordinances/regulations/policies/procedures. Must be able to support, contribute to, and strengthen a vibrant, culturally diverse, and inclusive community; anticipate, deliver on, and exceed the operational expectations of senior officers/faculty/staff; introduce and drive administrative and operational innovation; and provide expert financial leadership and insight, help safeguard the control environment, and enhance MIT’s finance function. Job #18716
