Overview

The School of Nursing and Midwifery is looking to recruit a Nursing/Midwifery Simulation Laboratory Manager who will be responsible for all aspects of the delivery of simulation learning within the demonstration wards of the School, including supervision of staff, adequate resourcing of laboratories, contemporary simulation learning program delivery and compliance with all relevant legislation. The Nursing/Midwifery Simulation Laboratory Manager is a leader who works collaboratively with academic and sessional staff in the implementation of the School’s simulation learning strategy.

The successful candidate will be a Registered Nurse, have exceptional interpersonal and communication skills and have the following experience:

  • Current registration with Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (NMBA).
  • Broad based recent clinical/simulation experience
  • Knowledge of 3G simulation equipment
  • Recent experience of simulation learning modalities
  • Recent experience in a setting that would provide familiarity with clinical equipment, consumables and latest practice of nursing skills and procedures.
  • Experience in leading and developing a team in a similar environment.
  • Ability to build and maintain formal and informal relationships and partnerships
  • The ability to develop and implement realistic project plans in response to the organisations’ needs.

Benefits & Remuneration

This full-time ongoing position attracts remuneration of $88,800 - $99,498 pa plus 17% University superannuation contribution.
