EXECUTIVE ASSISTANT, Resource Development-Office of the Vice President, to directly support and perform complex and diverse duties for the vice president by managing the flow of work through the office. Will provide advanced administrative support and coordination for various programs and projects; use in-depth knowledge of the Institute and advancement to anticipate and initiate actions related to office operations; interpret and resolve highly varied situations and problems; and exercise discretion and independent judgment in serving as an ambassador for Resource Development with MIT senior officers, academic leadership, colleagues, and external benefactors. 

Resource Development is responsible for advancing the mission of MIT and supporting higher education by fostering relationships that result in continuing goodwill and financial support from alumni, friends, and organizations. 

Job Requirements
:  high school diploma or its equivalent; seven years’ related experience supporting a high-level executive; excellent written and oral English communication skills and command of spelling, punctuation, and grammar; event management experience; strong planning, problem-solving, time-management, decision-making, organizational, interpersonal, and collaboration skills; meticulous attention to detail; flexibility; initiative; proficiency with communication and project management technology and Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); and sound judgment with confidential information.  Must be able to multitask, prioritize assignments, and meet deadlines without compromising quality; anticipate consequences of actions, potential problems, or opportunities for change; work independently and as a team member who is willing to lend a hand at all times; and promote a welcoming office environment in a demanding, high-volume work setting.  PREFERRED:  bachelor’s degree, project coordination experience, experience with Adobe Creative Suite in a professional setting, familiarity with FileMaker Pro, and experience in higher education or nonprofits.  Job #18589-8
