Job Description Summary

The Clinical Research Coordinator A will provide support and collect data for a study that will evaluate the effectiveness of an intervention for young children with autism in Philadelphia.  The Clinical Research Coordinator A is needed to provide support with developing study materials, recruitment, consenting of participants, collecting observation data in the community, administering assessments to young children, management of study documentation, data entry, database management, managing 2-3 undergraduate employees, assisting with IRB documentation and submissions, and facilitating and maintaining positive working relationships with collaborators.

The Clinical Research Coordinator A will provide support and collect data for a study that will evaluate the effectiveness of an intervention for young children with autism in Philadelphia.  The Clinical Research Coordinator A is needed to provide support with developing study materials, recruitment, consenting of participants, collecting observation data in the community, administering assessments to young children, management of study documentation, data entry, database management, managing 2-3 undergraduate employees, assisting with IRB documentation and submissions, and facilitating and maintaining positive working relationships with collaborators.

Qualifications

A Bachelor s degree in education or psychology or related health field and 1-3 years experience or equivalent combination of experience and education required. Previous experience interacting with children and families, and/or experience in with young children with autism are desired. Previous experience conducting standardized and developmental assessments with children is also desired. Previous experience in a research environment is preferred. Proficiency in computer programs including Microsoft Office suite, NVivo, databases (SPSS), and online survey software (REDCap) is also preferred. Outstanding organizational skills are essential. Exquisite attention to detail; the ability to manage multiple responsibilities including daily tasks and planning for longer-term projects; outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work both autonomously and a team are all essential for this position. Individual must be comfortable communicating with diverse audiences.

Special Requirements:

Candidates must have a valid driver's license. Must pass Pennsylvania s Child Protective Services Act (also known as Act 73) background checks, within 30-90 days of employment.
