Job Description Summary
This position is for a Credentialed Veterinary Technician with 1-2 years of experience. This nurse will provide emergency care to critically ill patients on the overnight shift.
Veterinary Technician, Emergency Services B- 1-3 years of experience as a CVT
Veterinary Technician, Emergency Services C- 3-4 years of experience as a CVT
This nurse will work in a fast paced environment treating critically ill animals. This nurse must be able to triage patients, perform anesthesia, take radiographs, place all forms of invasive lines including IV catheters, central lines, urinary catheters, A-lines. Client communication and customer service is equally as important. Teaching fourth year veterinary students as well as Harcum Nursing Students is a vital part of the position
The hours are M-Th 10p-8a.
Must be credentialed Veterinary Nurse
- Must have 1-3 years of experience in veterinary emergency medicine
- Ability to multitask
- Ability to handle stressful situations

- Strong technical skills and medical knowledge base
- Working conditions include high noise environment and physical requirements are ability to lift 25-50 pounds with assistance, kneel/bend/crouch, stand for prolonged periods of time.
