Job Description Summary

Joining a team that supports the information technology needs of the Pathology Department Core facilities, this junior member will take over routine SYS Admin., and client troubleshooting tasks.

Job Description

The primary assignment will be to provide client support for the Path BioResource complex set of software applications after mastering functionality of these custom-designed operational tools. This will include maintaining networks on computers (Windows, Macs, and Linux). A key secondary function will be to assist the software development team with testing, deployment, and documentation. Familiarity with command line control of Windows, Mac and/or Linux machines is a requirement. Programing skills are not required but would be a plus, especially PHP and Linux. Position is contingent upon funding.

The candidate must have computer skills including command line access control of at least one operating system and basic understanding of networking. The candidate must be a quick learner who can follow instructions. The candidate must be detail-oriented to follow the QA/QC protocols. Candidate must have good written communication skills to assist with application documentation and bug reporting. Candidate must also be able to work in a dynamic team setting specifically to assist in establishing QA/QC strategies. Candidates familiar with PHP and SQL preferred.

Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree with 0-1 year of related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience is required
