Job Summary

This part-time Staff Scientist position is centered around computational and experimental efforts to investigate the photonic response of nano-sized, 3D periodic structures.

Job Duties

• Dispersion relation and band gap computations of sub-100nm periodic architectures of high-index materials (for example, titanium nitride), optimization of geometrical parameters for desired band gap wavelengths, experimental procedures and measurements of samples.
• Writing reports.
• Mentoring of graduate students in the Greer group.
• Ideally, the Staff Scientist will work closely with 1-2 graduate students in the Greer group and will train them on the required computational and experimental techniques.
• Other duties as assigned.
