Our distinctive expertise is in our deep understanding of technology and management and how these work together to benefit the world.
Our people are our most valuable resource and everyone has a role to play in shaping the future of our university, developing our learners, and transforming the businesses we work with. Cranfield Management Development Limited (CMDL) is a wholly owned subsidiary of Cranfield University. We already have a prestigious international portfolio and within the Middle East CED has begun to build a trusted brand. It is a developing market and offers a significant opportunity for CED to further develop the business and establish a long-term future for Customised Executive Development.
Our consequent steep growth trajectory requires us to source a talented individual to lead and shape our Middle East strategy, and support the management of these programmes across the Middle East region, while also helping us to secure further business and maintain our growth.
The Regional Director Middle East (RDME) will take ownership of the key client relationships within the current client portfolio and will be accountable for the end to end delivery of leadership and organisational development for existing clients within that region. In addition this individual will have a clear vision and strategy for longer term business development and will be tasked with driving business growth by attracting and securing a new client base.
This role offers the opportunity to work within the Middle East across a range of sectors. Cranfield is committed to being client-focussed and putting the client at the heart of everything we do. This brings successful applicants the opportunity to work in a variety of ways with a wide range of organisations, sectors, and individuals.
CMDL largely supports a portfolio of customised and open enrolment executive programmes offered through Cranfield Executive Development (CED). This includes partnering and collaboration with Cranfield’s School of Management Faculty and Administrative departments. Our customers are both external (delegates and their client sponsors) and internal (academic staff, associates, and other Executive Development Directors & colleagues).
To be successful in this role you will require previous experience of working with C-suite and Board level executives, proven experience of working with Middle East countries, with time spent working in region. Part of this work experience must be in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. You will also need experience of design, development and delivery of interventions and programmes in the field of leadership and management. You will need a strong track record in project planning, implementation, monitoring and evaluation, and successful generation of target-driven revenue generation. You should be educated to MBA level or equivalent.
You will be leading on the communications elements of strategically impactful projects and initiatives which command significant resources. Therefore it is essential that you have a deep understanding of Middle Eastern culture, are able to communicate effectively both in English and the relevant Arabic Language. You will need to be able to think on your feet, have the resilience to work independently, and the credibility to influence senior executives and nurture relationships.
At Cranfield we value Diversity and Inclusion, and aim to create and maintain a culture in which everyone can work and study together harmoniously with dignity and respect and realise their full potential.
Our equal opportunities and diversity monitoring has shown that minority ethnic groups are currently underrepresented within the university and so we actively encourage applications from eligible candidates from these groups.
We actively consider flexible working options such as part-time, compressed or flexible hours and/or an element of homeworking, and commit to exploring the possibilities for each role. Find out more here.
