Job Description Summary
Plans and conducts basic experiments to meet research project objectives, with close supervision. Assists in performing laboratory experiments and clinical studies for product or material formulation and development. Daily management of laboratory tool, documentations and processes to ensure regulatory compliance and timely completion of project/program deliverables. Closely collaborates with Senior Research Specialists and Principal Investigator (PI) on experimental/clinical work set ups in accordance to established protocols.
Junior technician who has some experience working with HIV and has been trained in the following techniques: transfection and infection of T cells. The ideal applicant has interest and knowledge in HIV biology. The position will include assisting a senior postdoctoral fellow in her in vitro studies that model the HIV reservoir. More routine aspects of the job will include maintaining a patient database and a Mendeley library which contains the publications that are relevant to our laboratory. This position also requires maintaining a lab notebook and maintaining the organization and upkeep of the tissue culture room 2. The position will also include assisting in DNA and RNA analysis of HIV sequences over time for which on the job training will be provided..
Bachelor's Degree with 0-1 year of related experience in research and clinical study methodologies or an equivalent combination of education and experience required.
