Flinders University is an institution on a steep trajectory towards its goal to be a world leader in research and an innovator in contemporary education. The University has undergone a major transformation process in recent years that has led to substantial improvements in the institution’s performance across a suite of the most important metrics.

The University is structured into six Colleges that are designed to encourage interdisciplinary teaching and research.

The University is now seeking to appoint its next Vice-President and Executive Dean to lead the College of Business, Government and Law.  Reporting directly to the Vice-Chancellor, the VP and Executive Dean will contribute to institutional strategy while leading all aspects of the College.  The College received AMBA accreditation in 2019 and is well advanced in the AACSB accreditation process.

This opportunity will suit an ambitious individual with experience in leading and managing change and in growing a discipline area in both teaching and research.  In support of this aspiration, Flinders is planning a new, state of the art facility for the College located in Adelaide’s CBD that will provide major opportunities for both international and domestic students.

The preferred candidate should be capable of leading a broad and active program of external engagement and possess a strong research track record.
