PROGRAM ASSISTANTCenter for Real Estate (CRE), to perform advanced, highly complex, and diverse duties for multiple functions and programs, including the Industry Partnership Program and Professional Certificate Program.  Will collaborate on maintaining excellent client service/relationships with industry partners, including facilitating and scheduling meetings with faculty and research staff; plan and coordinate initiatives/conferences, including the annual World Real Estate Forum (WREF), consisting of 300-400 attendees; update/maintain marketing materials; provide ideas and execute new communications products and relevant content to industry partners; and compose, edit, and distribute an electronic newsletter, collaborating on soliciting and incorporating ideas and content from faculty and research staff. Work on the two-week Professional Certificate Program will include collaborating with MIT Professional Education (MIT/PE) to ensure the quality, accuracy, and delivery of teaching materials; and providing content and new ideas to promote the program.  Will also update content on the CRE website. 

Job Requirements

REQUIRED:  high school diploma or its equivalent; at least five years’ administrative or related experience; full working knowledge of general office practices/procedures; experience managing and executing high-profile events; strong interpersonal and communication skills; good judgment and discretion with confidential issues/information; and ability to work on teams and to resolve issues/competing interests by using in-depth knowledge of policies/precedents or conducting research.  Must be proficient with Microsoft Office; Adobe Creative Suite; WordPress, Drupal, or other website content management software; database management (FileMaker Pro); web hosting service, e.g., Weebly, etc.; and willing to learn new software. Bachelor’s degree and experience with online travel, procurement, and sponsored research systems (i.e., Concur, B2P, Kuali Coeus, etc.) preferred.
