POSTDOCTORAL ASSOCIATE, Chemical Engineering/Koch Institute for Integrative Cancer Research-Love Lab, to help uncover the mechanisms for MHC-linked susceptibility to type 1 diabetes using a novel single-cell analytical technology to examine the function of beta-cell-specific T cells in patients and normal subjects with different predisposing or protective MHC genotypes.
Will design, implement, and analyze experiments to address this objective and manage technical assistance facilitating the execution of the work. This project involves collaboration with an existing team of researchers engaged in various aspects of the project and with the Dana Farber Cancer Institute and University of Colorado.
The Love Lab is an interdisciplinary academic research lab engaged in a variety of projects ranging from antibody discovery; to rapid manufacturing of biologics; to immune profiling of chronic diseases, including HIV/AIDS, multiple sclerosis, type 1 diabetes, food allergies, and cancer. The lab employs graduate students, postdoctoral associates, and technical staff with a range of scientific backgrounds from engineering to immunology.
