In accordance with Act No. 111/1998 Coll., Section 77, the Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Administration, Masaryk University, invites applications for the following position:

a part-time (8 hours a week) Lecturer to teach key courses ensured by the Department of Corporate Economy: Corporate Information Systems.

What does the position entail?

  • Teaching some lectures and seminars within key Czech and English courses ensured by the Department of Corporate Economy;
  • supervising Bachelor’s and Master’s theses;
  • participation in applied and contract research projects and teaching development projects; and
  • cooperation with companies and professional organizations.

What do we require?

  • A completed Master’s degree in the area of in economics or computer science;
  • at least two years of working experience in Corporate Information Systems;
  • English and Czech at a minimum level C1,  the ability to lecture and publish in Czech and English;
  • teaching experience (at university, secondary school, in professional education for adults or other);
  • the ability to work in a team;
  • a completed PhD or commenced studies in a doctoral study program as an advantage;
  • concurrent economic and computer science education as an advantage;
  • Microsoft Dynamics® NAV certification as an advantage
  • experience with participation in applied and contract research projects and teaching development projects as an advantage;
  • teaching experience in Corporate Information Systems  or in a related area as an advantage;
  • long-term experience of studying or working at a university outside the Czech Republic and Slovakia as an advantage; and
  • a research agenda relevant internationally, e.g.:
    •  active participation in international scientific conferences or in a specialized seminar held in English;
    • cooperation with a multinational company or an institution;
    • cooperation with experts from abroad;
    • work experience abroad;
    • an internationally recognized professional certificate.
