Research Assistant Professor in Experimental Particle Astrophysics

Applications are invited for a Research Assistant Professor appointment in the Enrico Fermi Institute of the University of Chicago to work in the field of experimental particle astrophysics.  The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work on several projects, including ultra-high energy neutrino experiments, such as ANITA, ARA, and a new effort in Greenland.  The term of the appointment will be for 3 years with the possibility of renewal. 

Qualifications
Education: A doctoral degree in physics or a related field is required.

Experience:  A minimum of three years of related experimental experience, beyond PhD training, is required.  Demonstrated expertise in radio-frequency electronics design, FPGA programming, and Monte Carlo simulation is required.   Demonstrated expertise in integration and deployment of hardware to remote polar regions and scientific long duration ballooning is required. The ability to work independently and as part of a team, and to train others is required.  Good verbal and written communication skills are required.
