Director CDU Global
- Directly influence exciting growth strategy
- Outstanding leadership opportunity
Charles Darwin University (CDU) is unlike any other institution in the world, it is Australia’s northern most institution and the gateway to the Asia-Pacific. CDU is a dynamic and ambitious institution offering a quality education experience, with a multiplicity of cultures, from Vocational Education and Training through to undergraduate and postgraduate degrees. With its main campus in tropical Darwin, other campuses and learning centres are distributed throughout the Northern Territory, with a further campus in New South Wales. CDU has developed deep connections with its Indigenous communities throughout ‘The Top End’.
Darwin itself is a multicultural harbour city surrounded by spectacular ocean views and a thriving hub of cultural festivals, food and market offerings. The city hosts many cafes, restaurants, laneway wine bars and locally owned shops. CDU is in the process of building a new campus in the heart of the CBD that will further develop Darwin as a vibrant and liveable city.
As Director, CDU Global you will drive the strategic leadership and management of the CDU Global office, and support the Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Global Strategy and Advancement, in internationalisation activities across the University’s campuses. Priorities include implementation and operationalisation of CDU’s global strategy; international marketing and promotions; recruitment and admission of international students; international student support; legislative compliance; international partnerships; and relationships with government departments and other agencies. You will contribute to the University’s internationalisation program and manage resources to ensure the student experience meets the highest international and compliance standards.
To stake your claim on this exciting opportunity you will need proven strengths in developing approaches to recruit students in a highly competitive environment, and in building and motivating teams to successfully deliver against key objectives. Accomplished in developing and implementing strategic plans, formulating and evaluating policy options, and designing and developing procedures, you bring high-level analytical and business development skills, including the ability to develop business proposals for education programs with international partners. A sound understanding of the operating and regulatory environment for international students and relevant tertiary education qualifications will underpin your application.
