SACES was established in 1982 with a principal role to review, research and report on economic and public policy issues of relevance to South Australia and Australia as a whole. The Centre aims to increase the quality of analysis and debate regarding issues within the State, and to establish itself as a pre-eminent economic research centre in Australia.

We are seeking to appoint a Researcher who is an economist with significant experience in consulting, economic modelling (including CGE), large scale surveying and data analysis. The successful candidate will contribute to securing external research and consulting funding and will also assist with project planning and coordinating input from a range of sources; and with the production of research proposals, and project reports.

To be successful you will need:

  • A Bachelor Degree with Honours or equivalent in a field relevant to economic consulting.
  • Experience in economic modelling including CGE, planning, coordination and realisation of consultancy projects.
  • Analytical and research skills relevant to the conduct of economics consultancy projects.
  • Experience performing accurate quantitative and statistical analysis of data and writing clear and effective reports of research projects.
