UNE Psychology Clinic is located in the Tablelands Clinical School in Armidale, New South Wales. The primary function of the Clinic is to provide students in the Master of Psychology (Clinical) program with a strong foundation in evidence-based psychological practice within their initial internal practicum.
About the role
The Clinic Director has four principal areas of responsibility: managing Clinic operations, overseeing the internal student practicum, managing relationships with external stakeholders, and contributing to the Clinical Research Program. The Clinic Director is the conduit between the University and regional health care providers, where many graduates of the Master of Psychology (Clinical) will ultimately gain employment. A key challenge in this role is to establish strategic partnerships with external stakeholders in order to optimize training and employment opportunities for students, and to foster synergistic research collaborations aligned with the University’s Research Strategy.
Skills & Experience
To be considered for this role, you will have a Doctoral qualification in clinical psychology combined with substantial clinical experience specifically in senior/leadership roles involving management and strategic business development within the clinical practice setting. We will also require candidates to demonstrate experience in the supervision of Provisional Psychologists together with evidence of publications and/or presentations of psychology related research and/or practice.
