The Faculty of Engineering & Technology seeks to appoint a Research Assistant in Low Carbon Technologies within the Low Carbon Eco-Innovatory Team.

The Low Carbon Eco-Innovatory (LCEI) is a business support project, part funded by the European Regional Development Fund. The post holder will work on scientific insights into Smart Building Technologies, Energy Management, Carbon Finance, the use of microwave technology and sensing applications, low carbon design and planning. You will be involved in the development of business-university collaborations leading to tangible outcomes in the delivery of the ERDF LCEI project’s contractual commitments.

Key to this role will be previous advanced academic research with relevance to actual industrial environments in one or more of the subject areas named above. Furthermore, you should have new and innovative approaches relating to the needs of local SMEs and the low carbon economy agenda for the Liverpool City Region and UK.

In addition, you will also be involved in raising the profile and promoting the activities of the project across the Liverpool City Region, supporting the implementation of targeted marketing campaigns and planning and attending key events, seminars and networking opportunities.
