ASSISTANT DEAN, CAREER DEVELOPMENT OFFICE (CDO)Sloan School of Management, to develop a long-term vision and strategy to successfully position the CDO in an increasingly competitive business education marketplace.  Will ensure that services across degree programs and with alumni are delivered effectively and aligned with Sloan’s strategic vision; will lead the effort to ensure the CDO’s approach is cutting-edge and nimble in its response to market changes and employment trends; benchmark against peer schools and corporate human resources functions; design programming that meets the unique needs of Sloan’s significant number of international students and growing executive level population; connect the school to business leaders and identify new opportunities for strategic partnerships; serve as a visible leader, managing internal and external marketing initiatives; provide strategic management of the CDO’s resources; and develop budgets and operational forecasts.

Job Requirements
REQUIRED:  master’s degree; ten years’ career services experience, preferably in an academic setting; demonstrated knowledge of management education and career management; track record of successfully managing a diverse and talented team; excellent interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills; ability to represent Sloan with executives and corporate partners and act as key liaison to the school’s leadership team/faculty/students/alumni; experience developing staff and building effective teams; an understanding of and appreciation for the use of performance metrics and data-driven decision-making; a keen eye for operational efficiency and the optimal use of resources; ability to effectively engage, influence, and leverage a broad range of internal and external stakeholders; ability to be an effective spokesperson for Sloan; and cultural sensitivity, a commitment to diverse perspectives, and comfort working on a global basis. Job #18576-12
